The Sanctuary Society is volunteer ministry who assist the parish by being responsible for doing the following weekly tasks….(.usually done on Friday after morning Mass):

• Clean and replenish the holy water bowls by each of the church doors.

• Dust the adoration chapel.

• Dust the Sanctuary in Church along with dust mopping the hardwood altar flooring.

• Make certain the holy water container in the working sacristy is refilled and blessed by one of our priests on a regular basis.

• Remove the burned out votive candles and replace with new votive candles by the statues in the church.

• Organize the church books in the pews so they are in an orderly fashion for the weekend Masses.

• Wash and iron the purificator linens (small altar cloths) used during each Mass .

The schedule for all the above tasks is rotated between team members on a six month basis.

• We have teams of women who do this on a regular basis. 
• The women who volunteer to do the linens are required to do them every other month (six times a year). 
• The women who do the church cleaning and all that the above entails are required to do so once a month (12 times a year).

We also have a substitute list for people to use when they cannot fulfill their commitment for a particular day.

We are constantly in need of aditional volunteers.  The more help we have, the fewer number of times each team has to work.
