MATTHEW 25 MINISTRY……. welcomes current members and interested persons to attend a June 18th meeting at 8:30am. We are now able to visit our beloved elderly. For the past year, this ministry has not been able to visit parishioners who reside in long term care. We are in the process of re-activating our involvement, visiting, participating in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, and offering supportive activities to those who no longer live in their own homes. This is truly a Christian work, following Christ who so often reached out and touched the souls of persons who are lonely, and often without emotional support. If you have questions and are interested you may contact the ministry leader, Deacon Greg Cross at 315-427-4622. PLAN TO ATTEND THE MEETING AND LIVE YOUR BAPTISMAL PROMISES.

If you want to join this worth-while effort and have a skill, tell stories, do crafts, solid knowledge of your Faith, can serve snacks, play music, love children and want to help them grow in the Faith, PLEASE ATTEND AND OFFER TO HELP. Our brothers who work in the fields of tobacco, sweet potato, and other state crops of North Carolina have a difficult life marked by hard work and the solitude of living in the countryside. Each year the Diocese of Raleigh organizes the Catholic Encounter of Migrant Workers. Among other things, we would like to provide a bag with toiletries. Click on title for more information

“Every Christian is part of my own body because we are members of Christ.” No Man is an Island.” By Thomas Merton, Abbey of Gethsemane. Several of our new parishioners have asked, “What does the Parish do to improve the community?” Click on the image to see how Sacred Heart lives the teachings of Christ.
EMBERS (Adult Faith Planning Group) would like to prepare a short video showing the artistic and historical elements of our beautiful Church. To do so, we are recruiting a disciple to help with this project. The leader, Gregg Brock, estimates this will take about 4-5 hours. The disciple should have some skill in either videotaping (using a phone) or photographing. For example, the project would focus on our beautiful stained-glass windows etc. The finished project would be on the web to introduce our Church to the community and persons inquiring about our Church. If you are called to assist, please contact: Gregg Brock, firstname.lastname@example.org or Tele: 843-475-5098.
FAITH FORMATION IS CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF PARENT/STUDENT EVALUATION OF THE PROGRAM. AN EVALUATION HAS BEEN SENT VIA REALM TO ALL PARENTS. IF FOR SOME REASON, YOU DID NOT RECEIVE ONE, PLEASE CONTACT the Faith Formation Office. It will be most appreciated if all parents/guardians complete the evaluation. We want to use it to make the program better suited to your needs. Thank you.
